Devon is a quaint town in Chester County along Philadelphia’s Main Line and 22 miles from the city’s center. This affluent residential community has a rural feel due to several green spaces to explore. Held each spring, the Devon Horse Show is the premier event and the oldest and largest of its kind in the country. With Philadelphia conveniently nearby, commuters can take the SEPTA rail from Devon Station into downtown in about 40 minutes.
 
Residents can expect to find both new construction and lovely historic homes within this upscale community. Choose from Tudor-style mansions, Colonial residences, and carriage homes in idyllic neighborhoods. Although small, you can enjoy terrific eateries with additional options in Wayne, Berwyn, and Philadelphia. Locals have access to a number of peaceful natural areas that are perfect for a walk, run, or bike ride.

Although Devon is a small community, it has a great selection of places to eat in addition to options in Wayne and Berwyn. At Amis Trattoria, dine on delicious Italian fare in a trendy setting in Devon Yard. Known for having the best Mexican food in the area, Plaza Azteca serves your favorite traditional Mexican dishes in a fun and colorful atmosphere.
 
The Silverspoon features elevated American cuisine using fresh and seasonal ingredients, which you can taste in each delectable bite. A great place to meet up with friends or family is the upscale Autograph Brasserie, which has a unique and vintage ambiance. Enjoy mouthwatering American meals with everything from top-quality steaks to seafood and handmade pasta. Need a caffeine boost to start your day? Find great shopping at Devon Yard, where you can find everything including the huge and impressive Anthropologie, which also happens to be its headquarters. At Eagle Village Shops, browse high-end boutique shops or head to King of Prussia for a large assortment of designer brands to choose from.
 
The top event in Devon is the Devon Horse Show, which is held each spring and is highly- anticipated by the community. Noted as the oldest and largest horse show featuring multi-breed horses in the United State, over the course of eleven days, you can attend various equestrian events, live music performances, exhibits, a carnival, and plenty of fun activities for all. Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens is an oasis for nature as you wander woodlands, a pond, and gardens filled with vibrant flowers such as azaleas and rhododendrons.
 
Just a few miles from town is the beautiful and scenic Valley Forge National Historic Park, where there are many trails for hiking or biking. Another exceptional place for hiking along idyllic and peaceful trails is the Waterloo Mills Preserve. Hike through wooded areas, meadows, a marsh, and a creek. The Radnor Trail provides runners and bikers with a flat 2.4-mile path that used to be the old Philadelphia and Western Railway corridor.
